Yin yoga originated in ancient China from the Taoist tradition. It is a form of yoga that stretches and stimulates the connective tissues of the body. Poses are static, usually floor-based and held for five minutes or longer. A more meditative approach to yoga, it is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of everyday life
The yin practices will be complemented with some movement, or yang practice, to get the blood flowing and enliven the muscles.
