YOGA OFF THE
Sage Patanjali systematised yoga in the Yoga Sutras, a formative text written in the 4th Century.
These sutras, or threads of knowledge, can be seen as a guide on how to live in order to advance along a spiritual path towards enlightenment. There are eight limbs to the Yoga Sutras, each describing a different aspect of practice, and a different step on the ladder to realisation.
In this workshop, you will gain a greater understanding of Yoga's 10 commandments - the Yamas and Niyamas, the first two limbs from the Yoga Sutras; learning how they can be applied both on and off the mat.
Practices will include posture work with an awareness of the Yamas and Niyamas.
We will finish up with balancing breathwork and a nurturing relaxation.
